Hi, I was wondering how long after consumption of a food you are allergic to does it take for you to have a reaction? I had some egg by accident an hour or so ago, and I feel my throat getting tighter, I took two reactine but I was wondering if it will go away with this?

Hi

Welcome to healthcare magic.

The symptoms you described are definitely of food allergy, this time to an egg. It generally takes minutes to few hours to get symptoms of an allergy. You have taken an antihistamine drug which might not help you that much. I would advise you to reach a nearest doctor and check your present status properly and get treated. I would also ask you to do an allergy profile test, to know what other food or things you are allergic to and be aware in future.

Hope my advice helped. Have a good life.
