Suggest Treatment For Throat Pain And Fever

Hi,

My wife was complaining of throat pain and due to which she developed fever, she had no cold or cough so we gave her 3 tablets of Combiflam her fever came under control but she is now getting sudden chills and bouts of fever. We are currently giving her crocin but she says she is feeling too weak. Please advise...

Hi Dear,

Welcome to HCM.

Understnding your concern. As per your query you have symptoms of sore throat and fever which is condition known as strep throat caused by streptococal bacteria. Need not to worry. I would suggest you to give a strong course of antibiotic such as Augmentin along with anti-inflamatory medication such as Lebocetrizine. Avoid intake of cold carbonated liquids. You should do warm saline gargles. Avoid hot, spicy and fried food and take soft and bland diet. Have rest properly. Visit general physician once if symptoms keeps on persisting and get it examined. You should go for blood tests and throat swab test and start treatment after proper prescription.
