General & Family Physician 's  Response
Hello,
Welcome to HCM.
I understand your concern.
Propronolol is not known to cause arthritis of femure. But it may give rise to bone and muscle pain.
Arthritis of femur take much longer time than just 3 months to develop. The process of joint damage may start at early age but may become apparent in middle ages like 50-70 yrs. Continuous trauma due to overuse of joint (like in sports & certain occupations) is most common cause. So your observation may be coincidental.
In my opinion, you should continue propronolol as it is but please also talk with your doctor in this regard.
Take advice of orthopedic doctor for arthritis of hip.
I hope this will be helpful.
Thanks for using HCM.
Do ask if any further question is there.
Take care.
