Suggest Treatment For The Jerking Moments In The Arm

I am having what I call jerky movements occasionally in my hand arm and legs. I can be carrying a glass of tea across the room and my hand just lets go for no reason and I drop it. I can be texting and my finger just jerks and lands on the keyboard. I was wondering if you had any thoughts as to what could be causing this..I am 72and take several medications but the doctor has assured me that it is not the medicine that is causing the jerks (spasms), whatever..
