My husband is paralyzed from the chest down. We just came home Jan 22 from VCU rehab facility. Today is not feeling well with cold shivers constantly & his bowels have released 7 times today. He s only been paralyzed since Nov so we are not totally comfortable with him getting a cold. We know his body will react differently. When do we decide to call paramedics to go to the er?
Thanks for your question. I can understand your concern. Most probably its a gastroenteritis / stomach infection. It would be advisable to get him to hospital as dehydration is a concern in his case may require correction with I v fluids. Don't worry, he will be alright. Hope I have solved your query.Thanks.
