Suggest Treatment For Tetraplegia

My husband is paralyzed from the chest down. We just came home Jan 22 from VCU rehab facility. Today is not feeling well with cold shivers constantly & his bowels have released 7 times today. He s only been paralyzed since Nov so we are not totally comfortable with him getting a cold. We know his body will react differently. When do we decide to call paramedics to go to the er?

Thanks for your question.
I can understand your concern.
Most probably its a gastroenteritis / stomach infection. It would be advisable to get him to hospital as dehydration is a concern in his case may require correction with I v fluids.
Don't worry, he will be alright.
Hope I have solved your query.Thanks.
