Suggest Treatment For Swollen Rectum

About 12-13 days ago, the saturday before last I tried anal masturbation. I used a household item that was not very wide but long. I think I went too deep. I didn t feel pain, but I felt like I went too far. I pulled it out and there was mucus on the end but I didnt see blood. I am red green color deficient sooo i don t know. But I was scared out of my mind and didnt sleep all night. I had diarrhea and I was trying to poop too see if there was blood in my stool but I didnt see any. Or I couldn t tell at least. I tried to poop a lot. Through the week I noticed that my rectum was getting swollen. I was on anti-biotics, Azithromicin, at the time and kept taking those. My rectum is still swollen. There isn t any prolapse outside of my anus, but it doesn t feel right. I feel like I have to poop and I have anxiety constantly. I haven t been able to sleep! Help!

General Surgeon 's  Response
Hello,

As per my surgical experience, if the antibiotics and supportive medicines are not responding; a diagnostic colonoscopy is demand of time to look into the matter depicting the cause of rectal swelling.

Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.

Regards,
Dr. Bhagyesh V. Patel, General Surgeon
