Suggest Treatment For Swollen Eyelid

My Right Upper Eye Lid has swollen up. There has been no trauma that I know of. Yes I am having allergies right now with Tree Pollens but I have never had an eye lid swell up like this. It is sore to touch. Slightly colored red. It is about a 2 on a pain scale. Should I go see a doctor or will it pass in time?

Hi,

Allergy to pollens with exposure to allergen specifically entering eye can cause such symptom but then it would be accompanied by itching. Steroid eye drops would help in such case. In case it vanishes in a couple of days. You need not visit, but if symptoms persist, or eye starts aching with pus discharge, you should consult an eye specialist for antibiotics. Avoid exposure to pollens OR start taking anti allergic pill if exposure can not be prevented. Take your family doctor's advise.

Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.
