Suggest Treatment For Swollen Bump On The Tip Of Clitoris

I have swollen bump on the tip of my clitoris which has dulled my sexual feelings there. I have been to 3 separate doctors (2 NPs and 1 gyno). The first 2 NPs treated it like it was a lesion--gave me creams and antibiotics (for 2 months). Nothing helped. I went to gyno who thought it was an enlarged vein and shot the bump full of saline (3 weeks ago). At first I thought it was getting smaller but now it is getting harder and I think it might be growing. When I put nothing down there it seems to hide a little and when I put hydocortizone cream down there for lubrication it seems to show up more. I have new regular doctor who said I should see dermatologist who can surgically remove it? What should I do? Help!

General & Family Physician 's  Response
Hello,

You are suggested to visit & get clinically examined by a gynecologist or a surgeon. Swollen bumps on the tip of the clitoris can be due to infection as a result of abrasion during rough sex or friction due to prolonged masturbation.

However, it should be clinically examined to detect if its epidermal cyst, genital herpes or warts. You should get skin tests and STD tests done to be on the safer side. If it is epidermal cyst it will require surgical management. If STD tests are positive, you will be treated with antibiotics and antivirals.

Hope I have answered your question. Let me know if I can assist you further.

Regards,
