Left side of my neck is swollen, upper portion under jaw near ear. Size varies from what feels to me like the size of a quarter to the feeling of the size of an egg. Maybe not that enlarged but feels like it sometimes. It seems to be agitated by either swallowing or chewing. It is difficult to know which. I have no fever. No sore throat. I have had difficulty swallowing but that is nothing new for me. I am in my early 50s and have Hashimoto s. I m not sure what is going on. Oh, and I have also developed a little cough, like feeling the need to clear my throat. Any ideas? It is a bit scary to have my neck swell up.
Halo sir, as you have Hashimoto s, any swelling in neck is to be taken seriously. Please visit your consulting ENT surgeon for proper check up. Ger FNAC of the swelling done and an ultrasound of the neck for thyroid and any neck mass.
