Suggest Treatment For Swollen And Painful Knee

I m a 37 year old female, not overweight and a nonsmoker. I have swelling behind my knee and it s a dull achy pain also. It feels like a large lump possibly full of fluid. I was recently diagnosed with degenerative disc disease and a vitamin d and b12 deficiency. Not sure if this is all related but any input and feedback would be most appreciative. Thank you.

General & Family Physician 's  Response
Welcome at HCM
I have gone through your query and being your physician I completely understand your health concerns.
In my opinion you really need to be examined by the surgeon so that you can be properly assessed. Based upon the history provided , i do not think it is related to the vitamin deficiency.
There is need to get the XRAY of knee joint coupled with MRI scan to pinpoint the pathology.
meet ORTHOPEDIC surgeon
Meanwhile stay calm and use acetaminophen to relieve pain
Get well soon
Hope your query is adequately addressed if you still have any feel free to ask
Regards
Dr Saad Sultan
