Suggest Treatment For Swollen And Painful Foot In A Child

My 7 yr old daughter complained of severe foot pain for about 2days. On the third day she was crying hysterically and I looked at her feet which were so swollen she couldn t walk. At this time she also had bruising on her feet and ankles along with a rash on both legs up to her butt.

Hi...by what you quote I feel that it could be HSP or Henoch Schonlein Purpura. It's an auto I disorder involving the blood vessels and is commonly called vasculitis. In this there will be joint involvement along with the typical rash which you have described.

I suggest you get in touch with your pediatrician immediately. As of now for the pain you can give Ibuprofen.
