Suggest Treatment For Swelling On The Feet And Ankles

I overdosed on Heroine 8 days ago. I was told my body shook and white stuff came out of my mouth. Paddles were used to shock my heart. I acquired double pneumonia from aspirating during intubation and was in ICU for over 72 hours and then in a regular hospital bed until 2 days ago. I was given a prescription for LEVAQUIN but am unable to fill it due to the cost. Can I recover without it? My legs, ankles, and feet are so swollen that they are pitting and hurt. Should I be worried about this? How long until my energy and strength return? Did I cause permanent damage? Why was I paddle shocked and intubated?

General Surgeon 's  Response
Hi,

The reason for intubation was an acute respiratory failure from an overdose of Heroin.

The swelling feet and ankle are secondary to pulmonary, heart, kidney dysfunction with or without systemic sepsis stage.

It is recommended to consult with all reports in follow up session.

Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.

Regards,
Dr. Bhagyesh V. Patel,
General Surgeon
