Suggest Treatment For Swelling Of Hand Due To Insect Bite

I've been hiking/camping in the woods of Central NY all weekend. I got bit or stung by something on Sunday. I noticed a small blood trail coming out of the site shortly afterwards. Almost 24 hours later, I noticed a small blister looking thing at the site (about the size of the tip of a ball point pen), so I tried sqeezing it to get puss out. Over the course of the next couple hours, my whole hand swelled up to the point that I couldn't close my hand past 60% closure. I have taken 50 mg of Benedryl twice (at 4-hour increments) since the swelling began, and it has not gone down at all. Please advise.

Hi,see it is late hypersensitivity reaction due to insect bite over hand.if u are having pain, swelling and unable to close your hand within 24 hours.
Then u will require short course of oral antibiotics (cephalosporins group as per my choice),analgesic and antihistamines.
If problem persists then contact your physician or surgeon.
