Hi Dear,

Welcome to HCM.

Understanding your concern.

As per your query - Swelling in jaw after tooth extraction is very common. It will take 7-10 days for proper healing of socket as tissue laceration is very high after extraction. Some times jaw swelling which your are noticing is because of less compression after tooth extraction, nothing to worry about it is just a response of body, it will subside slowly after application of moist pack on daily basis.

Keep applying ice packs or bags on jaw line on daily basis. I would suggest you to wait and apply ice packs. You swelling of jaw will subside soon. If its painful then it is alarming, visit dentist again in that case.

Hope your concern has been resolved.

Best Wishes,
