Suggest Treatment For Swelling Around Incision Site After Surgery

Hi, I ve recently had a knee operation which included the removal of bone fragments and the membrane. I m due to get my stitches out tomorrow but I ve noticed a lump/swelling around the main incision cut they made. It s not oozing nor painful or red, so I m wondering if this is normal?

General & Family Physician 's  Response
Welcome to HCM.
I understand your concern.
As per your complains as it is not painful or red it seems less likely to be due to infection and could be due to excessive collection of just serous fluid from surrounding tissues near the site due to tightness of the incision site stitches.
No need to worry.
A surgeon opinion will be required for clinical examination which they will due at the time of removal of stitches.
Hope i answered your queries.
Thanks and regards.
