General Surgeon 's  Response
Hi,

In our clinic, I recommend a swab culture from the sty discharge.

Local care with antibiotic drops as Moxifloxacin
Hydration with plenty of liquids
Control of blood sugar
Systemic antibiotics according to the swab culture
Control of systemic viral infection covers the majority of the issues.

Odd cases require surgery as per the clinician decision.

Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.

Regards,
Dr. Bhagyesh V. Patel,
General Surgeon
