Hi,I am Dr. Gopal Goel (Orthopaedic Surgeon). I will be looking into your question and guiding you through the process. Please write your question below.
I believe I strained my calf after running in hot weather while not well hydrated. I have been taking it easy and giving myself a lot of rest, but when I try to run, it feels like I am straining it again after about a mile, every time I try to get back out.
As per the history I see , I should be related to the post cramp induced pain. which is a common symptoms while running in hot weather. I would advice you to slow down your running/jogging.
Also along with your regular workout routine you can add a pinch of salt and sugar to the lemon juice so you don't lose more sodium from the tissue and avoid cramps.
Keep yourself more hydrated. You can use hot water fermentation to relax the muscle and ease the pain/swelling.
Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.
