Suggest Treatment For Stomach Pain

Should I seek medical attention for pain in my stomach? Recently while moving out of my apartment, by myself, I felt a pop in my stomach as if I pulled something. It feels uncomfortable but I thought the pain would go away. When I felt my stomach yesterday, it felt hard in the middle. Should I be concerned?

General & Family Physician 's  Response
Hello,

The symptoms seem to be related to gastritis which is an inflammation of the stomach lining. I suggest using antacids such as Maalox three times a day. I also suggest using Omeprazole 20 mg in the morning before breakfast. I recommend to do an abdominal ultrasound for further evaluation.

Take care. Hope I have answered your question. Let me know if I can assist you further.

Regards,
Dr. Dorina Gurabardhi, General & Family Physician
