Suggest Treatment For Sticky Bleeding From Nostril

My child hit her head on the corner of a coffee table... About 20 minutes later her right nostril started to bleed.. Its not gushing its just really sticky blood.... She also has a little cold. I m going to keep her awake until at least midnight because of it but should I be worried?

Hi.
The direct hit on the nose of small child can cause a green-stick fracture and need not worry about it. During the process a mild trauma inside the nose causes bleeding and since the child is already suffering from Cold there is sticky bleeding from the nose.
IF there are no other problems like profuse bleeding, change of sensorium and behavior, Do not worry.
Instill decongestant nasal drips and the child will be fine.
IF there is development of any other symptoms rush to the ER.
