Suggest Treatment For Stage 4 Lung Cancer Surrounding Her Pulmonary Artery

Hello, my mother was diagnosed with stage 4 lung cancer. The Doctor indicated the cancer was the size of a softball, and that it was surrounding her pulmonary artery. He advised that the cancer has not spread anywhere else. And that her life expectancy will be very short due to no other options for treatment. Chemo was suggested, but he said it would not make her live longer. But could help with her breathing, she is now on oxygen because the cancer has grown. And she is having a hard time breathing on her own, I can barely understand what she is saying. She was talking fine just a week ago, and now she can t even talk.

Hi

Tour mother is suffering from stage 4 lung cancer.
Aim of treatment at this stage is only palliation with basic supportive care and improving quality of life.
Palliative oral chemotherapy if her EGFR and ALK mutation are positive with erlotinib and crizotinib can reduce her tumour size and keep her disease under control and lessen her breathing problem to some extent.
