Suggest Treatment For Stage 4 Adenocarcinoma Lung Cancer

My Mother has been diagnosed with stage 4 adenocarcinoma lung cancer and 2 brain mets. We are scheduled for Gamma Knife already but the biopsy report has taken two weeks to return. Should this be a concern? She is being treated by MUSC in SC which is a teaching hospital and it concerns me that they had to send the biopsy out to get the results (I am very anxious to see what mutation she has). Any help would be greatly appreciated. Jen

Hi

I would advise immediate palliative radiotherapy in your mothers case.

After her brain metastasis stablelizes palliative chemotherapy needs to be given.

Regards
