General Surgeon 's  Response
Hello,

Avoid excessive straining for stools. Laxatives like lactulose can be taken for symptomatic relief.

If symptoms persist better to consult a general surgeon and get evaluated. In severe cases surgical repair like sphincterotomy may be needed.

Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.

Take care

Regards,
Dr Shinas Hussain, General & Family Physician
