Hello,
Thanks for using HCM.
I have gone through your query and I understand your concerns.

Probable diagnosis: Pharyngitis
As there is history of pain and discomfort in throat,it suggest the possibility of pharyngitis(inflammation of throat) caused by bacterial(most common) or viral infection.

You need to do the following as a first line therapy:
1- Start a short course of antibiotics like "moxclav" for five to seven days
2- You can use analgesics like "ibuprofen" or "acetaminophen" for pain and discomfort.
3- Do warm saline gargles or gargling with numbing mouthwash.
4- Avoid cold and spicy food stuffs.
5-Antihistamines like "cetrezine" would be helpful.

If the symptoms persist despite all these,do the following.
1-Consult an ENT physician and get a throat swab done to find out the exact pathogen causing the problem.
2-Get an indirect laryngoscopy done by an ENT specialist to check anything abnormal in your throat.

Hope this information help you.
Wishing you good health.

Regards.
