Suggest Treatment For Sore Throat With White Dots On It

Hi ive had a sore throat for two months now..ive been to my dr when I had it for about two weeks the did a strep test tht came up negative..she said its sinus drainage but I only have sinus drainage in the am when I first wake up then its my one..sometimes my throat hurts too bad to swallow..I have white dots one side of my throat

I have gone through your query and can understand your concerns..

As per your complain sore throat along with white dots in throat and pain during swallowing seems to be due the throat infection only and the white dots seems to be pus pockets secondary to infection..
Sinus drainage can be a cause for it as the sinus drainage leading to post nasal drip that flows to the back of throat leading to infection and irritation in throat..
You should consult an Otolaryngologist and get evaluated and a thorough clinical evaluation and investigation like throat swab culture can help in diagnosis and treatment can be done..
You can be advised to take a course of antibiotics like Augmentin, anti-inflammatory painkiller like advil, do warm saline gargles 3 to 4 times a day, do steam inhalation and use a humdifier in your room..
You can also be advised mucolytics and decongestants..
Drink plenty of warm water..
Avoid spicy and chilled foods.
