My Daughter is 6 years old and has had for about 6 months some small sores on her arms. They may have originated from a bug bite but now they won t go away and at times seem to be worse now looking like cigarette burns. No weeping. I have no idea what it is and we ve tried every otc medication I could. Any ideas?

Hi!

Welcome to healthcaremagic. com.

I have read your query in detail and do understand your concern.

She seems to be suffering from atopic dermatitis.

Does she suffer from any allergies?

Any history of asthma in your family?

Heavy moisturisers which are specially meant for such conditions can be used.
If it doesnt help, your dermatologist may prescribe topical steroids

Use a medicated gentle cleansing lotion for bath like cetaphil cleansing lotion.
Wear cotton clothes.

Avoid allergens like pets/ dust etc

Hope this helps!

You may revert back after 1 week or earlier if you have any other question.

Good luck!
