Suggest Treatment For Small Itchy Spots On The Palm
Hi, I keep getting these tiny little brown spots that appear on the palms of my hands. They are usually round spots. They dont hurt or itch and look like little spots of iodine. They dont wash off and usually only go away because I scrub the layers of skin off. It has been happening every now and then for the past few weeks but I have never had it before that. Have shown a doctor friend in passing who wasnt concerned but had no idea. I can t pinpoint anything in particular that I m doing before they appear other than working. I work in a lab but have worked there for years and this hasn t happened and they usually appear once I had finished work or at night. I wear latex gloves every day but again I have never had an issue before. Any ideas? Thanks
As per your case history, you are having pompholyx, my treatment advice 1. Don't squeeze the lesions as it may worsen the condition. 2. Apply a mild antibiotic plus steroid cream like Fusiderm-b cream twice daily on it. 3. Take an antihistamine medication like levocetirizine twice daily for 7-10 days. 4. Other treatment options are oral antibiotics, oral steroid taken only after consulting a dermatologist.
