The symptoms you mention in query are known as Polymorphic light eruption (PMLE) . The most common form of sun rash is polymorphic light eruption, also known as sun poisoning. Mild cases of sun rash may resolve without treatment. But if they occur frequently then it need proper medical evaluation . I would suggest you to consult dermatologist for proper examination . Doctor may prescribe Corticosteroids which work by reducing inflammation ( Hydrocortisone cream ) . For now avoid sun exposure , apply broad spectrum sunscreen with SPF 30 and apply cold compresses to the rashes for itchiness . Take benadryl twice a days and avoid swimming .
Hope your concern has been resolved. Get Well Soon. Best Wishes, Dr. Harry Maheshwari
