General & Family Physician 's  Response
Hello,
I understand your concern. Flushing is a very common side effect of niacin (vitamin B3) and while it can be unpleasant it is harmless and no cause for concern. It does not last long and enduring it is a small price to pay compared to the benefits of taking vitamin B3 which is a heart protector. It has been proven that starting niacin at a lower dose and then increase it gradually over time, drinking a lot of water and eating before intake help decrease flushing symptoms.
However, you are free to stop using it, even though I would not recommend it.

Wishing you all the best.
