General & Family Physician 's  Response
Hello,

Elavil like all drugs has side effects. I can suggest you some remedies to help you with dry mouth, chew (sugarless) gum, drink water, or use a saliva substitute. If you don't feel better talk with your doctor. Do not stop using Elavil without consulting with your doctor.

Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.

Regards,
Dr. Blerina Pasho, General & Family Physician
