Suggest Treatment For Side Effects Of Aclasta

I ve had an infusion of Aclasta. Within a few days I lost the hearing in my right ear. I ve been checked by my audiologist who has advised that my right ear hearing is totally gone and will not come back. I ve also lost two teeth. They have both broken off at gum level and the root of both teeth is still in my gum. Do you know of anyone else who has had these side effects?

General & Family Physician 's  Response
Hello,

Aclasta has side effects like all the medications. Some people using this medicine have developed bone loss in the jaw. Symptoms of this condition may include jaw pain, swelling, numbness, loose teeth, gum infection, or slow healing after injury or surgery involving the gums.

You have to consult with your doctor about your condition and maybe to change the therapy.

Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.

Regards,
Dr. Blerina Pasho, General & Family Physician
