Suggest Treatment For Sharp Shooting Pain On The Foot

My left foot has a sharp shooting pain that is in the arch area. There is no pain in the heal. The top of my foot and my ankle are swollen. This has been ongoing for 2 weeks. I have been icing it, which helps the swelling but does nothing for the pain.
