I have a 16 year old son who never did any drugs and doesn t drink. He became ill last week with a severe sore throat. After three days of taking alkaseltzer plus for colds at night to sleep he started the zpack. He was complaining about how the medicine made him feel. We discontinued all the meds as per the doctor. He still after 4 days is feeling weird he says. He is scared it is never going to go away. He has been sleeping a lot to try to not deal with the confused on focused feeling he is having. I am concerned this maybe the beginning of some type of mental health issue. His electrolytes are fine. His urine test was fine. We are waiting on a mono test.
