Suggest Treatment For Severe Red And Watery Eyes

I have one eye that is red and excessively tearing or watering. I have been to the eye doctor twice, aand an Opthelmologist as well. the first doctor told me to take ibuprofin for a week, then I went back and he gave me drops that contained a antibiotic( I think) . The specialist could not tell what was the issue, and gave me an oral antibiotic(doxycyclene). After all these visits over the course of months, and over 1300.00 in bills that I have to pay, I am needing some advise on some kind of treatment. thank you

Hi,

Please get a pic of your eyes clicked and send it to me to make the evaluation easier for me.

Your red watery eyes must be due to allergic conjunctivitis. You can instill antibiotic drops but you have to take oral antihistaminics like Levocetirizine and topical steroid drops like Dexona to reduce the symptoms.

If there is pain, Ibuprofen is a good option. Wash your eyes with cold water many times a day. Don't rub them. Avoid dust and dirt.

Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.

Take care

Regards,
