Suggest Treatment For Severe Pain In The Wrist

Hi. I am a guitar player for 12 years. But recently have been playing a little bit more. I have been having wrist pain right where the tendons meet the wrist in both wrists. I dont believe its carpal.. My research leads me to believe its tendonitis. My elbows are now starting to feel pain. They crack a lot when they never ever used to. I take nsaid for it right now. Im in a band that is gaining success and not playing is not an option. My muscles in my forearm seem to be really tight all the time. I had an old prescription for cyclobenzaprine and took one last night. This morning i played my guitar for an hour with a lot less pain than normal. 1 what could i do to make this better. 2 do you think my lack of pain tgis morning was due to the muscle relaxer i took the night before. Thank you for your response

Ophthalmologist 's  Response
Hello,

Please don't take any medicine without a diagnosis. A nerve conduction test will tule out carpal tunnel and a proper examination will tell about tendonitis.

Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.

Take care

Regards,
Dr Harshita, Ophthalmologist
