Suggest Treatment For Severe Pain In The Knees

About a year and a half ago I had to have knee surgery for a torn miniscus. I still have a lot of pain in my knee due to arthirits as well. But now anytime I walk or on my feet for an hour or longer I get this searing pain from mid thigh down to about mid calf. I get bulging mid thigh and tightness in both my calf and thigh. What could be causing this?

General & Family Physician 's  Response
Hi,

The pain you get seems to be muscular in origin. Another possibility is deep vein thrombosis( which needs imaging investigation for confirmation.

You should take rest, avoid painful movements. Take over the counter pain medicine like Ibuprofen after eating & consult a physician for a specific medication.

Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.

Take care

Regards,
