Suggest Treatment For Severe Pain In The Hip After A Fall

I fell a few weeks ago and landed on my right hip. However, a few moments later I had pain in my left buttock. Since then the pain has increased and is interrupting my sleep and most of my usual tasks. I had an xray at the chiropractor and he said it was a jammed si joint. Treatments don t seem to be helping. Suggestions?

Dear Sir/ Madam,

Thank you for posting your query at healthcaremagic.com.

At present I advice you to take rest with ice and anti inflammatory.
Cryotherapy (ice pack) can be wrapped in cotton cloth and to be kept around the painful area for 5-7 minutes. Please make a note that the part should not become numb.
These will accelerate healing process and reduce the inflammation around the area.
Once the pain comes down you can start mild stretch of hip joint.

Hope this will ease you pain and get better sleep.

Please revert back to me if you need any further information.

With best wishes,
Tehzib Saiyed(PT)
