Suggest Treatment For Severe Pain In The Eyes

Hi, I was slapboxing with my friend and I got slapped or hit I think in the left side of my face (around my cheeks to forehead) i noticed i nose bled 10 minutes after but it was short and went away quickly. The day after (today) i noticed my left eye in the corner by the nose and eyebrow had a little bump. I predict it was a swell so i put ice on it. Then i noticed i started to spit dark blood. My left eye isnt severly in pain but when i like to my top-right its a little bit of an annoyance. Im just wondering if this may heal without going to the er or doctor. Or what may be the possible injuries I have taken like fracture or etc

Pathologist and Microbiologist 's  Response
Hello,

The symptoms of nose bleed and spitting out blood after trauma require X-ray of facial bones to rule out fracture of any of the facial bones.

High impact trauma can lead to bone fracture and thus symptoms of swelling, pain and bleeding.

I suggest you visit an emergency department for clinical assessment and X-ray of facial bones.

Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.

Take care
