Suggest Treatment For Severe Pain In Foot

I had injured my right foot 3 days ago. I m not sure how it happened. I did a lot of walking and climbing stairs in a stiff, heavy shoe. After dinner that day, I got up and had significant pain in my foot and was limping. By late night it was unbearable and I was not able to walk on my foot and it was swollen pretty good. Today, the pain is still there, swelling is not as bad but still there. There is brushing on top of foot and bottom, right where the arch is. When resting it doesn t hurt. But the minute I step down its immediate pain and so hard to walk. Xrays showed nothing. But I know a stress fracture can not show up right away. Could it be a stress fracture from the shoe? I ve worn them before and always had pain on the area that hurts now but it would go away once shoe was off and I rested. I also cannot bend my foot up without severe pain.
