Suggest Treatment For Severe Pain In Back When Diagnosed With Lupus

I have a strong suspission that I may have a fracture at about L1 area...that s as close I can guess.. pain is specific to the one bone. I m sure it would be from seated leg press. I have a tendency to lean forward and bear down pushing heavy weight. Weight excess of 700#. Makes sense for a small woman that that much weight alone would be issue...after the pain began I just folded towels under my back. This us when I had aha moment....can that particular exercise cause injury that location , but mostly....is it necessary to go to Dr....as it seems rest is what seems to be majority of treatment. I have lupus and pain medicine in general, though at the moment it isn t helping this lol.

Hi,

You can have over the counter analgesic like Acetaminophen and Ibuprofen for pain relief. Go for hot fomentation. Steroids are the mainstay of treatment of lupus so see an immunologist for evaluation and management.

Take care. Hope I have answered your question. Let me know if I can assist you further.
