He s tried heat and ben gay but it remains in constant extreme pain. Today he said it still hurts bad and there s a red spot and bump now. Any ideas?

Hello and welcome to ‘Ask A Doctor’ service.

I have reviewed your query and here is my advice.

Causes of pain can be numerous like low hemoglobin, low calcium, low Vit. D, low B12 and magnesium. To rule out anything, complete history is must which is lacking here. Bumps and red spots could be allergic. I would suggest you to visit a nearby physician to evaluate further.

Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.

Regards,
Dr. Maheshwari
