The doctors said that they don t see anything wrong and have checked him out. He is 16 he stays on his cell phone all the time could this have anything to do with the numbness ?

Dear
Welcome to HCM
We understand your concerns

I went through your details. If the doctors said there is nothing to be concerned about and there is nothing wrong there, you should take it for granted. You should ask your child regarding when and how it started, when it is irritating or felt more etc. Get as many details as possible.

Your child is 16 and he is going through a transition stage in development. Young adult hood. He is understanding life's little hassles, diseases, truth about life etc. It is quite natural that they think much about health related matters and this obsession could lead to anxiety and psycho somatic symptoms. I strongly think, your sons face and head numbness problem is due to obsession and it is rather psycho-somatic than physical. You could approach a psychologist for counseling.
