Suggest Treatment For Severe Muscle Pain In The Arms

I have high cholesterol. My doctor had me in statins for years but they caused me severe muscle pain in my arms. Finally she put me on Welchol which is very expensive. Also Welchol has not reduced my chlosterol very much. My LDL has gone from 157 to 166 in about 2 1/2 months. Before I got on Welchol, my LDL was 181. My question is if I take COQ10 with Lovastatin 10 mg, would it reduce my arm pain? Also how much COQ10 can i take safely with Lovastatin 10 mg? My brother and sister also have high cholesterol. So did my mother who died of a heart attack. I am also exercising and working on my diet. I have lost about 12 lbs.

General Surgeon 's  Response
Hello,

I think it will be due to nerve impingement. for which I will recommend you to perform some simple neck exercises for controlling the pain of the upper arm.

Also by performing the core stability exercises and spine Strengthening exercises will help reduce the same for the leg.

As the pinched nerve may always get missed by symptoms and variation one can confirm the same while understanding the MRI which can help understand the extent of the soft tissue.

Also as you are 104 KGS you need to perform Cardiorespiratory endurance training at a later stage to improve the overall I think it will be due to the nerve impingement.
