Suggest Treatment For Severe Menstruation After Switching From Trivora To Lo-Loestrin-Fe

I have always been on Trivora birth control but the doctor switched me to loestrin FE, which caused horrible bleeding, I had to go to the ER clot after clot was happening. they put me on Ortho tricyclen to stop the bleeding however i have been taking it a month and have bled every single day, horrible cramps, nausea and diaherra. My uterus lining is thicker than normal they did a biopsy and it came back benign no issues. Can i switch back to my old pill after im finished with this pack?

Hi,

Basically, all the three drugs are a combination of two hormonal drugs, of the same group. Hence, I do not see any difference in their efficacy. The excessive bleeding may be due to thicker inner lining of the uterus. However, you may switch back to your old pill after the completion of this cycle.

Take care. Hope I have answered your question. Let me know if I can assist you further.
