Suggest Treatment For Severe Lower Back Pain

I am having severe lower back pain on the right side. I had back surgery about 10 years ago, have 2 rods and 8 screws in my back. I have also had an ablation 2 times and 3 times on the right because it didn t work the 2nd time. They tell me they can t get at the nerve that needs to be fried or whatever because the rods are in the way. I am really sick and tired of being in pain all the time. So my question is do you think those rods should be removed?

General & Family Physician 's  Response
Hello,

It may be due to sprain. You can take tablet acetaminophen. If not getting relief, do MRI after orthopedic consultation.

Take care. Hope I have answered your question. Let me know if I can assist you further.

Regards,
Dr. Shyam B. Kale, General & Family Physician
