Suggest Treatment For Severe Inner Pain While On Ibuprofen

My right eye and right ear have been bothering me. I thought they were unrelated, but there s a pain that extends between them - almost like a line from one to the other. I first had some shooting inner ear pain, but after a while it would go away. Tuesday night it came back, but stayed for the rest of the night until I fell asleep. I did take ibuprofen before bed. When I woke up the next morning, there was some faint pain, but it had mostly dissipated. Throughout the day, however, I developed more eye strain-pain that seemingly extended to pain across my face to my ear. The shooting pain in my ear isn t there now, but the other pain remains. I do wear glasses, and my prescription was checked just a couple months ago and it was still accurate.. I know I should use wetting eye drops more often, but this pain/irritation seems unrelated? Any thoughts?

Hi,

It could be a migraine. One-sided headaches are typically like this. You should consult a neurologist.

Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.
