General & Family Physician 's  Response
Hi,

Viral infections can be associated with joint and muscle pain along with headaches. These are common symptoms that can accompany a viral infection.Rest, fluids and pain medication are usually used. Pain medicines would include paracetamol/tylenol or NSAIDs, if they can be used. NSAIDs- ibuprofen, naproxen, cataflam, If there is no relief or the pain and other symptoms intensify, it would be best for you to be seen for assessment.

I hope this helps. Let me know if I can assist you further.

Regards,
Dr. Michelle Gibson James
