Hello Ahmad:
Maybe you are suffering from migraine, it is a pain that can affect half of the head, it is throbbing and has light and sound intolerance, nausea or vomiting, and exacerbates with movement.
I suggest writing a headache diary, taking note of the frequency, intensity, symptoms and pain characteristics; also response to treatment. You can try to identify if you have any pain trigger. All migraine patients are different, but there are some common triggers as cured meat, smoked fishes, alcohol,
monosodium glutamate, fasting,
dehydration, sleep privation, some odors as gasoline or cigarette smoke. Try to avoid them, also avoid heat or direct sunlight to the head, and try to do some exercise.
For the pain you can try
acetaminophen, naproxen or
ibuprofen. If they are not helping enough, maybe triptans would be a better choice for you.
When you come back to Delhi, look for a
neurologist for a complete assessment. If you have any doubt before your appointment, please let me know.
