General & Family Physician 's  Response
Hello.
Thank you for your question.
From what you have described ,you could be suffering from Migraine.
It is usually unilateral and throbbing in nature and aggravated by bright lights and loud noises such as television etc.It is usually associated with nausea. Migraine attacks are usually recurrent and lifelong, most commonly affecting those between 35 -45 years .

I would suggest that you get examined by a physician before you start treatment for migraine. You could take over the counter analgesics for the headache for now.

Hope this information was helpful.

Thanks
Dr.Alex
