Hello! I've read your question carefully. By the details you gave, i would think that you suffer from migraine. Migraine is a type of headache that often is preceded or accompanied by visual disturbances wich are called aura. Auras can also be sensory signs (pain, numbness etc). The aura lasts 5 to 60minutes. Then the headache starts. The pain is throbbing, in most cases starts in the back of the head and then is unilateral. In 80 percent of cases is accompanied by nausea, and 50% by vomiting. So, it's more likely that those signs that you perceive like gastric problems, are sign of migraine.
To treat migraine can take the prophilactic medication, wich has to be regular everyday for 3-12 months, and the headache abortive medication, wich is taken at the begining of the headache. There are different drugs that can be used for the two treatments, but you should see a doctor to prescribe you those.
I hope i have been of help
