Suggest Treatment For Severe Hair Loss

Hi i am 26 year old female and I am facing severe hair loss since almost a year now and my hair has become really thin.. I take thyroxin medicines for my thyroid I take 100mcg as prescribed by my thyroid specialist.. But I have noticed whenever I stop taking the thyroxin tablets my hairfall stops completely but I cannot stop taking my thyroxin supplement since I have to co to continue the tablets lifelong. I recently visited a dermatologist who prescribed Adgain capsules and Tugain 2% minoxidil solution for applying on the scalp everyday. Will this help me I hope there are no side effects of Adgain capsules and will my hairfall reduce with this? Please help

Hi. Adgain and tugain 2% should help with hair loss. Adgain is basically biotin supplement and wont cause much harm, if not used for too long. You may consult your endocrinologist to see if there is any need of adjusting dose of thyroxin. That would bee determined by level of TSH and other clinical findings. Hope it answers your queries
